Third day in Amsterdam~
Lunch
Reheated last night’s leftovers in the microwave and ate them with white bread and pickles.

Dinner
For dinner, we went to a highly rated Dutch restaurant. When I was looking up tips online a lot of travel blogs mentioned this place, really eager to try it~

The decor was really special: photos of mothers everywhere~

We ordered the Hollandse Rijsttafel / Dutch rice dish — basically a little bit of each classic dish.
There were three dishes in total: Stamppot (hotchpotch), Suddervlees, and Hachée. The latter two were both stewed beef.
I’m not sure what the spread on the bread was made from, but it was delicious!

The two stewed-beef dishes tasted similar, one had slightly smaller chunks of beef and was cooked until more fall-apart tender. The apple sauce was pretty sweet, with large chunks of apple. The pickled purple radish was sweet and delicious. There were roast potatoes, steamed potatoes, and mashed potatoes mixed with sauerkraut. As expected, I’m still not a big fan of sauerkraut ().
I heard the sausages were from HEMA. I can buy some and try making it myself later. My personal score: 7/10!
Strolling in the city
Very cute Mini cars that can go onto the bicycle paths

Really nice weather, took a few photos of the canal~

We passed by a gelato store and saw very interesting flavours!

I later asked a local Dutch friend, apparently “Smurf” flavor is quite popular in the Netherlands and kids especially love it. But it seems to be just a plain sweet flavor?
